March 9th NoMiWoman Connections Event

Join Northern Michigan Woman Magazine for our Women’s Networking Event on Thursday, March 9 from 5:30-7:30pm at Significant Strikes! Tour the boxing facility & watch (participate if you so choose!) several demos of women’s self-defense classes. Plus enjoy Authentic Mexican Tacos from Sabores y Colores food truck and complimentary chair massages from Elemental Compass!
Wear clean socks! We will have our shoes off to participate (optional) in the demos!
We will also hear from Allison Korson, co-owner of Significant Strikes, about her career in the mixed martial arts field. She coaches Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling working mainly with women and youth. She also runs the nonprofit Grand Traverse Community Enrichment, alongside her partner, Chris, bringing free mental & physical health programs to at-risk youth throughout the region. Allison will share her inspiring journey!
